The client, who already owns an equestrian centre, wants to develop a second facility to meet the high demand for livery facilities in the area. This green belt development will consist of two keepers cottages, 50 stables, offices, and other ancillary facilities when completed. The scheme, which was designed in accordance with the client's brief, considers the nearby historic context of Havering Atte Bower including the Havering Park Riding School, Bower House, and Roundhouse. Set back from the road to be unimposing in the landscape but inviting when entered, the scheme takes advantage of the site's natural sloping to make water drainage easier and more financially beneficial for the client. When completed, the centre will harmonize with the beauty of the surrounding area while preserving natural habitats.
